Room Two - The Garden of Eden

Time: approximately 12 minutes
Estimated Cost: $117,598
Scripture: Genesis chapters 1 and 2
The door to room 2 opens to The Garden of Eden. As you enter you hear various animals, feel a mist in the air, and see a beautiful garden full of foliage, plants, and flowers. The room is bright with a beautiful blue sky. It is as if you've been transported back in time to the actual Garden of Eden. A path leads you through tall trees, flower gardens, and by water falls. The background looks as though it goes on forever. There are places along the path that you may sit and enjoy the view and take in the experience of a world without sin. Baskets of fruit welcome you to enjoy along the way. Throughout the path you notice various animals at play.
While in The Garden of Eden you witness the creation of man, and woman, and their communion with God. This is a world without sin and death.
The path leads you to the center of the garden where you see the tree of life and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. At this location you will witness Adam’s decision to disobey God and its consequences on the earth and man. At the very moment of Adam’s sin thunder roars and the room begins to change in color and temperature indicating the fall of man and man’s separation from God. The scene will play out according to the scripture.
In this room God’s compassion and sadness about Adam’s sin is very clear. He did not stop loving Adam and Eve, nor was he angry and wanted to punish them. Out of his great love he removes Adam and Eve from the garden for their own benefit. He could not (or would not) let them live eternally in their sinful condition - forever separated from Him. Which is what would have happened if they continued to live in the garden eating of the tree of life. During the conversation between God and Adam and Eve you will hear the tone in God’s voice say that he has a plan to correct this situation, because it saddens him to be separated from his beloved creation.
When it is time for Adam and Eve to be sent out of the garden you will be directed to a gate that you must go through. You are now walking in the footsteps of Adam and Eve - being cast out of the garden. Through the gate is a narrow darkened hallway. When you are within the hallway the gate to the garden will slam shut with a loud clank. The hallway comes to life with pictures of war, sickness, fighting, killing, and poverty - this is the hallway of the consequences of sin. At the end of the hallway is a door - it has one word on it -- REDEMPTION. The door opens and you enter room three - God’s covenant with man.
