ROOM 1 Creation
Effect: Imax theatre movie presentation, surround sound,
Time: approximately 10 minutes
Estimated Cost: $85,000
Scripture: Luke chapter 2
The room is round and dim upon entering. The lights darken. Tiny lights begin to twinkle on the ceiling and walls signifying stars in the distance. Still very dim the room resembles outer space. The viewer may even feel as if he is drifting in the midst of the darkness in outer space. All around in view and in peripheral vision space begins to move: an asteroid zooms by, a planet spins, a distant sun bursts and dies out. Slowly, the movement begins to reveal our solar system, as we know it (a sun and 9 planets).
A female narrator: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
One of the 9 planets shines a little brighter then the rest. Planet Earth is small but grows larger and larger in front of our eyes. The earth grows to be the size of a basketball directly in front view of the spectators. No details about the earth can be seen.
Female narrator: And the earth was without form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
On the earth we can see the rolling of the darkness which shows the water covering the earth completely.
God’s voice: (strong, but gentle) Let there be light.
The room lights come up to dim. Visually we continue to see the earth evolve as God speaks. The earth rotates, darkens, the lights. The viewer’s perspective is as God’s may be, seeing the earth and the sun in the distance along with other stars and planets around in the distance.
God: The light shall be called day and the darkness night.
We hear a swish or God’s breathe and begin to see the earth move and grow mountains and the air gets blue and the clouds begin to form. Each taking time to develop.
God: Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth.
The earth begins to grow grass, trees, fruit, and flowers. The winds carry bits of plants to new locations on the earth. Throughout the visualization the earth will magnify to show the spectators more details and then will move back to a more distant point of view. This will give the viewer an affect of moving in and out in space.
God: Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
As God speaks there is a light that moves over the earth as if it reflects God’s hand. Animals begin to emerge on the earth. Fish in the water, and birds in the air.
God: Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
A swoosh is heard and a cool breeze in felt in the room.
God: Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind.
More animals begin to emerge on the earth. The animals of the land, all kinds, horses, cow, tigers etc.
There is a sound of contentment and satisfaction, like an “ahhhhh” and a warm breeze is felt in the room from a different direction.
God: It is good.
Pause.
After a pause there is some movement in space. Lights twinkle and sound of breathe.
God: Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Female narrator: So God created man in his own image.
The point of view narrows in closer and closer into the earth until we end up at a green vegetative garden, but no one is seen. Pause. Lights dim and then up to “house lights” the automatic door opens to the next room.
